Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum RAM for the MSI MAG B460M Mortar?
The MSI MAG B460M Mortar supports a maximum of 128GB of DDR4 RAM across 4 DIMM slots. You can install up to 4x 32GB modules.
What RAM speed should I use with this motherboard?
The B460 chipset limits RAM speeds to DDR4-2933 with Core i7/i9 processors and DDR4-2666 with Core i5 and below. There is no benefit to buying faster RAM as it will be downclocked.
